Spinning Courses

We run two workshops in spinning. The first is a beginner’s day to learn how to sort a fleece and prepare for carding, to take the wheel apart and learn about all the components, the ratios, single and double drive etc. Spinning starts on a drop spindle and moves to a wheel.

Finally learn how to ply, make a hank and wash your spun wool. Even our sheep will be impressed by your end result!

Our second course is for accomplished spinners wishing to create fancy yarns with slubs, beads, curls of wool, bouclé and cable patterns.
