3rd Saturday – Altered Books
Kate will inspire us with her beautiful altered books filled with her personal treasures. Kate will lead us through the process of how to cut, decorate your chosen book before adding your own personal memento’s e.g. photos, a piece of a special dress, a pressed flower, a ticket or a special poem. A book to treasure.

4th Sunday – Woven Boxes and Baskets
Interesting yarns will be created by navajo plying and tasselling on curls of Wensleydale wools.With this yarn you will weave on a pegloom to create a chunky textured basket. Decorate with beads and buttons.

6th Tuesday – British Wool Exchange
As part of British Wool Week, 5th-11th September, we are offering this complementary afternoon. Bring along unusual fleece you have to add to the collection for others to try.

10th Saturday & 11th Sunday – Lancashire Guild.
Off to run a workshop and sales of our supplies.

15th Thursday – Tree Bark
You will create a textile panel inspired by the colours, textures and patterns of bark. Using hand dyed silk fabric, as a base we will add painted heated Tyvek, silk carrier rods, wool and wooden beads, decorated with silk embroidery.

17th Saturday – Fantastical Fabric Birds
Beautiful sculpted birds made from a framework of wire covered in fabric, beads and buttons. Chris will inspire you with his wonderful wacky flock of birds.

22nd – 24th – 21st Anniversary
An Embroidery Guild exhibition at Audlem Public Hall. See us there with all our supplies.

25th Sunday – Miao Books
The Miao and Dong women from Guizhou Province in South West China make these beautiful paper folded thread booklets. Inside they store their embroidery threads, braids, ribbons, etc. Phillipa will show us how to construct these booklets and how they can be adapted to commemorate a special event. If you have small charms, photographs or poems you would like included bring them along. Price includes all materials and a project book.
