2nd, Saturday – Daisy Chain Handbag

Create a light weight fabric handbag with your own handmade lace daisy shaped inserts and floral embellishments. Lisa will show you how to use our hand dyed silks to make your own lace fabric from water soluble fabric, organza and satins. Learn construction techniques to finish your handbag. Bring your own sewing machine.

8th, Friday and 9th, Saturday – Brecknock Guild

I shall be running a workshop for the guild on Friday and Saturday is a Friendship Day for the local guilds around Brecon.

13th, Wednesday – Domino Knitting

Ann returns to show us this very clever way of modular knitting with knitted squares and strips building on one another to form a large piece – just as in the game of domino’s. Be inspired by Ann’s fingerless mittens, to start your own. This technique shows up best with our hand dyed yarns.

16th, Saturday – Stafford Knot Spinners Open Day

17th, Sunday – Mermaids

Beautiful mermaids will be made by a variety of methods from needle felting to sewing with lurex fabric. Glorious hair will be our Wensleydale curls and decorations will be beads, sequins and embroidery.

22nd, Friday and 23rd, Saturday – Woolfest

The original celebration of all things woollen, from yarns, equipment, workshops, exhibitions, demonstrations and meeting the animals. Michell’s Lakeland Livestock Centre, Cockermouth, Cumbria.

28th, Thursday – Flock of Sheep

Come and be a shepherd for the day and make your own creative flock of sheep by needle felting. Choose between using natural fleece to make a Herdwick, Wensleydale or a Jacob to making punky sheep from bright coloured hand dyed wools with spots, stripes or even a separate coat.

29th, Friday – Hawaiian Floral Spinning

Our fun complementary spinning afternoon creating a garland of hand spun yarn festooned with flower petals. Booking required.

30th, Saturday – Bakewell Farmers Market
