Saturday 1st – Advent Gathering
The Christmas party for the Staffordshire Moorlands Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. Local guilds invited to attend. Cheddleton Community Centre, Hollow Lane.
Tuesday 4th – Hark the Herald Angels
Come and delight in making a host of angels using a variety of techniques from wet and dry needle felt, silk paper making, woollen pom-poms. We will use silk fibres, fabrics, net, lace, wool and trimmings on dolly pegs, wooden blanks and felt shapes.
Saturday 8th – Rustic Tree Decorations
Our all time favourite Christmas workshop where you will make natural tree decorations using dry fruit, cones, pods, dry flowers, spices, cinnamon sticks, etc. Decorate with natural raffia or Christmas ribbons.
Wednesday 12th – Christmas Wreath
Make your own soaked willow wreath and decorate with either needle felted poinsettia flowers or holly leaves and berries. Arrange on your wreath with white dried sea lavender and ribbons.
Saturday 15th – Christmas Spinning Afternoon
We will be spinning fancy yarns that can be used to wrap your parcels or for pinning your cards onto. Complementary buffet at lunch, start at 1.00 p.m. Booking required.
Sunday 16th – Felt Baubles
Make beautiful soft felt or woollen blanket baubles from ever decreasing shapes which produces a lovely 3D effect. They are stitched together with colourful buttons and have contrasting blanket stitch around the edge of the biggest and smallest shapes.
Saturday 23rd – Bakewell Farmers Market
