August Courses

Sunday 1st -  Summer Flowers
Using our hand dyed colouful merino prefelts create a large panel inspired by our summer garden flowers.Embellish with embroidery and beads.Your panel can be wall mounted or used as cushions.

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th – Tea Weekend
Saturday- A fun day learning how to make a felted tea-cosy using a wet method over a plastic resist. We’ll even cook up a plate of dry needle felted cakes such as battern burgs, cup cakes and fruit slices. Sunday-Make unusual sculptural cups and saucers from wire and beads, folded papier mach’e and glued laminated wool. All weekend there will be a selection of teas served in our posh china cups and saucers.

Thursday 12th – Cloud Nine
Create atmospheric dramatic sky pictures using a variety of mediums from wet and dry felt and hand dyed silk and fibre collage.

Saturday 14th
I will be at Montgomery Guild Friendship Day selling my supplies.

Sunday 15th- Summer Shrug
Anne will inspire you with her beautiful knitted shrugs which are ideal for covering your shoulders on cool summer evenings. An ideal workshop for you to develop your knitting skills into a garment.

Wednesday 18thBouguet of Flowers
Our complimentary spinning afternoon, 1.30 to 5.30pm Booking required.

Thursday 19th – Summer Floral Delights
Our cottage garden dried flowers and herbs will be used to make arrangements in beautiful floral vintage cups and saucers, onto a willow wreath and made into pot-pourri satchets.

Saturday21st – Jewelled Caskets

Debbie has created beautiful wire and beaded containers from colourful telephone wire. She will inspire you with other idea’s from Christmas decorations to small sculptures.

Tuesday 24th & Wednesday 25th – Dovedale Sheep Dog Trials

We will be there spinning with the Staffordshire Moorlands Guild of Weavers,Spinners and Dyers.

Saturday 28th – Bakewell Farmers Market

See us there with our yarns and craft kits.

Sunday 29th – Textile Greeting Cards

Be inspired by all our textile crafts to produce an unusual range of greeting cards using knitting, needle felt,embroidery and collage. If you can’t bear to use the cards, then frame them for pictures.

Tuesday 31st – Wavy Yarn

Be amazed at the variety of ideas that can be used with our exciting new netted yarn. We will make a selection of the following jewellery, siralled scarf, nuno felted shawl, bags or cushions.
