Welcome to The Threshing Barn

The Threshing Barn is located in a converted spinning mill in the Yorkshire Dales National Park just out of Sedbergh.  The mill stands next to the river Clough alongside Farfield Mill Arts and Heritage Centre with a backdrop of the Howgill Fells in Cumbria.

From here I run my mail order business, create my range of woollen craft products, attend textile show, visit guilds throughout the UK and run a selection of craft workshops.

I run two sorts of courses;

  • ones where you decide what you want to learn and when – click here
  • I will come to your craft or textile club or group and run workshops, give talks , demonstrations and bring a van full of craft supplies.Please phone for details.

Craft courses run regularly so come and spend a day learning a new country craft.

Our craft courses can be tailored to suit all ages and skill levels and children are also welcome.

The Threshing Barn produces a wide range of textile craft kits, our own hand dyed wool, knitting yarn, silks and other fibres. These are ideal for spinners, weavers, felters, knitters and embroiderers. I assemble a superb range of spinning wheels, looms and craft tools. Browse our stock on this site and give me a call to order. I’m always happy to discuss your needs.
